The goal of the UN initiative is to get globally active corporations, institutions and organizations to voluntarily agree on basic principles of human rights, labor rights and the environment. |

These include abolishing forced labor and child labor, developing and encouraging the spread of environmentally friendly technologies as well as making a commitment to defend and protect international human rights. |
